Manu Samoa Comes into LA Sevens 2022 Ranked Fourth

Head coach of the Manu Sāmoa Sevens team, Afioga Muliʻagatele Brian Lima, has announced the squad for the LA team this week.
Melani Matavao (Fasitoʻo Uta, Lauliʻi, Saʻaga, Siʻumu) of Marist St. Joseph’s (Sāmoa) captains the squad of mostly young players.
The final leg of the 2022 Sevens series this year is being held at Dignity Health Stadium Park in Los Angeles, California and Samoa comes in tenth place in the HSBC World Series rankings.
Sāmoa comes in the Los Angeles Sevens ranked fourth and is grouped in Pool C. The Manu ranks first among England, Scotland, and Kenya is scheduled to play against Kenya first during Match 4 (10:26AM LA time), Scotland during Match 12 (1:32PM), and England (4:43PM) during Match 20 (4:43PM).
The Manu's impressive standing comes in after competing in only four of the legs this year.
